If you really have troubles finding shoes. Take this advice.. work to understand how (wide width) shoes are measured! This is a one time exercise that will help you the rest of your live!. First step measurementNot a single measurement system is complete or systematic. Check the wikipedia shoe sizes for full details.There are general guidelines and simple tricks you can do to get the just wide width shoes! Try these tips Shoe measuring starts with the length of a foot. Once the width is measured a "standardized width" to that length is added to form a shoe size. The width is linear to the shoe length! Interesting!!, because this means that you can also approach the shoe size from the width of a foot! Example.When you hold the sole of a shoe to the underside of your foot, it looks as if you have shoe size 9. When fitting you cant get in!, the width of your feet prevents you getting in. You need two shoe sizes up to fit the width of your foot into the shoe, but than the shoe is too big. Above means that you need shoe size 9 with two widths to it.Size 9 double width shoes would fit you. Each size increment gives you 1/16 or 0.065 in. more shoe width! Look at it from a different perspective.You don't have wide width feet!, you have small feet with normal width!!.That sounds odd!! Remember when you fit a shoe and the width is correct than the shoe is usually too big!How do you get the extra width shoe sizes from that? Example:if you measure your feet using about.com's system and you find that your feet is 0.13 inch bigger than normal than you need a 2W or WW shoe.( twice 0.065 in). Example! If you wear a shoe size 14, and the with is good but the shoe is too big, than take an 13w witch will give you a size 13.5 length with the with of the size 14.
